Sales Tax Requirements

We are a Toronto based company and therefore required to collect sales tax PST/GST. On all orders shipped to a location in the Province of Ontario, PST tax rate of 8% and GST rate of 7% will apply. In Canada sales in other Provinces GST Tax will aplly.
Note: USA customers pay no Tax no Duty on orders under US $ 200.00

How long will it take to receive my order?

All in-stock items will be processed and prepared for shipment within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). Out of stock items (oversold items) will be shipped within 3 to 5 days. If shipment takes more than the stated time, customer will be notified by email or phone.

Whenever an order is placed and a valid, working email address is provided on the order form, you will receive an email confirmation of your order.
Occasionally, some customers do not receive a confirmation of their order due to errors or occasional credit card failures.
If you do not receive an email confirmation of your order, then please contact us either by email or by phone during regular business hours. Do not enter another order until you have either confirmed with one of our representatives that the order did not go through, or that an error message was given to you regarding a problem with a credit card.

How much does shipping cost?

Most shavers today are sold with a money back guarantee offered by the manufacturers. Trial periods range from 30-60 days depending on the brand. If you are unhappy with the performance of any shaver purchased through Discountshavers.com, just follow the manufacturers directions located in the warranty booklet along with a copy of your receipt and you will receive a full refund from the manufacturer.

Return Policy

Shavers and shaver parts are personal hygiene items and cannot be returned or resold once opened.
At Discountshavers.com any items may be returned within 20 days of receipt only if unopened. Shavers and parts can be returned unopened for exchange only.
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. There will be a $ 10.00 fee for all returns that did not have a shipping fee.
There will be a 10% re-stocking fee for all returns-including packages that are refused upon delivery.
Returned merchandise by UPS a fee of $20.00 will be charged.

American customers pay NO Tax! NO Duty or Customs on orders under $200.00 US

All international orders are subject to applicable customs duties and associated assessments and fees. These fees may include Import Duties, Value Added Taxes (VAT) and Customs Clearance Fees. These costs are entirely the responsibility of the purchaser. The shipping charge by Discountshavers.com does NOT include any of these fees. You will normally be charged the Customs fees by the company that delivers the package at the time of delivery

Should I buy a particular brand of shaver?

This is a frequently asked question and the best answer is - " find the shaver that works best for you". You can achieve this by selecting a shaver with a "money back" guarantee offered by most manufacturers. If you are currently using an electric shaver and are happy with the results but are looking to upgrade to a newer model, we recommend that you continue using the same type of electric shaver. We carry a wide selection for you to choose from.

How do I maintain my shaver and is it costly?

Foil shavers: It is recommended that you replace the screens every 6-9 months and the cutters once a year. The costs vary between models, a Braun and Remington screen & cutter set will range in price between CAN$30-$45.

Rotary Shavers: Rotary shavers may be more cost effective as they require less maintenance. Rotary heads on shavers such as the Philips brand will last roughly 2 years. The cost of replacement heads range form CAN $30 - $50. To ensure longevity in your razor heads, be sure to clean & lubricate on a regular basis.

Is there a difference between cordless and cord/cordless shavers?

The difference between these two types of shavers is convenience. When you use a cordless shaver you must ensure that the battery is charged otherwise the shaver will not work. While cord/cordless shavers may cost a little more, they are well worth the money. If you forget to charge your shaver, the cord/cordless shaver is ready to go as soon as you plug it in.

Is there a reason my foil wears out so quickly?

The most common reason a screen wears out quickly is caused by excess pressure during shaving. The screens are quite fragile and can be damaged easily. Proper maintenance will ensure optimum performance of your shaver. This includes replacing the cutter every year and regular cleaning & lubrication.
This should help make the screen last longer.
